When the topic is architecture, one name comes to mind faster than others: Zaha Hadid. Creating futuristic designs, the name Hadid is known to everyone who has a taste, but she Hadid is not the only genius in architecture. Here are Zaha Hadid and Top Architects.
Born in Iraq, Hadid is a British architect. She had the honor to be the first woman to receive Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. This, however, was not the first time Hadid led the way in being the first female architect receiving world-known prestigious awards. In 2015, she became the first woman to receive Royal Gold Medal.
The famous architect’s works are everywhere from UK, US to China. Although the buildings designed by Hadid may seem costly to some, the result persuades the viewer that every penny is worth for a design master-piece by Hadid.
She may be the first female architect to receive so many prestigious awards, but Hadid certainly is not the only genius in architecture. Michael Graves, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, Walter Gropius, Caser Pelli, Rem Koolhas, Renzo Piano and Sir Norman Foster are all well-known by students of architecture.
There are thousands of architects around the world, but only these lucky few are named as top architects of the world. So what makes them so special? Sure, their design is flawless, but is that enough? There are so many famous architects with flawless design, but their names are unseen here and that has a reason.
When you take a look at the masterpieces of these architects, one thing catches your eye: uniqueness. These architects are famous not because they repeated the same design over and over again. They made a tough decision and decided to try something brand new and succeeded in this risk with genius and hard-work.
