His death was very unexpected and was shocked everybody around the world even if they were not interested in sports or basketball.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After high school, Kobe decided to join the NBA directly and he was in Italy at that time. Kobe Bryant was a dominant scorer in the NBA, and he won five championships. Also, he won the 2008 MVP Award with the Los Angeles Lakers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n His success was not limited to this. Later on, in other seasons, he surpassed Micheal Jordan despite his many injuries for the third place on the NBA all-time scoring list in December 2014. Then he retired in 2016. In his final game, he scored 60 points and it was a magnificent game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He also has an Academy Award. The award was for the category of Best Animated Short Film and among the nominees, he won the Academy Award with the film; Dear Basketball. The black date was 26<\/span>th<\/span> of January 2020 when his helicopter was crashed and caused of death of Bryant. He was not the only person who died in the accident. His 13-year-old daughter Gigi from the same family and seven others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Kobe Bean Bryant is the full name of the player and he was born on the 23<\/span>rd<\/span> of August 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father was also a basketball player. Kobe Bryant was the son of former NBA player Joe Jellybean Bryant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Elder Bryant; father of Kobe, decided to move to Italy with his family after ending his NBA career. He played in the Italian League. Kobe grew in a family which was full of sport. His two older sisters were athletic, and, in such family, Kobe Bryant was enthusiastic for both playing basketball and playing soccer. His family returned to Philadelphia in 1991. Kobe studied high school (Lower Merion High School) in Philadelphia and in this high school, he joined the school basketball team. This was one of the most important stages of his life. He led the team to the state championships four years in a row. He knew the talent of himself and he put an eye to the NBA from that years and he started to work out with the 76ers. 76ers was a basketball team in Philadelphia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n His grades were always good in high school and he also had a high SAT score. Despite of this, Bryant rejected to go to university, and he went on his career with NBA after high school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Charlotte Hornets (another basketball team) selected him while they were picking new players for the 13<\/span>th<\/span> overall pick of the NBA draft. Afterward, Kobe Bryant was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers which was a very good chance for his career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While he was playing his second season in Lakers, Kobe Bryant was selected for the 1998 All-Star Game and with this decision, he became the youngest All-Star in the whole NBA history at the age of 19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Then Kobe Bryant teamed up with another legend; master of superstars, Shaquille O’Neal to be able to win three NBA championships in a row and was voted first-team all-NBA from 2002-2004. During this time, with a lot of big brands such as Adidas, Sprite or some others, he inked a multi-year endorsement deal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After O\u2019Neal left the team in 2004, the Lakers struggled. However, Kobe Bryant performed amazingly in Lakers. Whereas, he scored 81 points in a game which was against the Toronto Raptors in January 2006.
