For the reason of the beauty of the girl, anyone who sees the face of this girl feels faint. So the girl uses a face vail when she goes outside.

One day the king decides that marriage time for his girl had come. He let the whole country know that the one who could take off his daughters vein can marry her. Everyone hears that news and they start to go to the palace. However, nobody can take off the vein of Güzelce. This situation goes on like this for a while until a poor shepperd comes out! He tells that he wants to marry with Güzelce.

When he comes close to Güzelce and opens her vein, the ground starts to produce electricity in front of the eyes of everybody. Everyone in that room scares to death and closes their eyes. When they close their eyes, after a long silence, a fire is seen. When the crowd open their eyes, they see Güzelce and shepperd on the ground, had burned and become carbonised.

According to the myth, these two young people were buried to the rock tombs. It is believed that the shining of the cave with the mirror is because of the beauty of Güzelce.

We hope you see this mystical atmosphere if you go to Amasya.

AMASYA TANITIMI

Amasya Orta Karadeniz bölgesinde bulunur.
