Located in the Western Black Sea Region, D\u00fczce has rich vegetation characteristics like other regions of the Black Sea. D\u00fczce, which had been in an economically difficult situation in the 1999 earthquakes, had the provincial status in the same year and started a recovery period. It provides public livelihood with industry, agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry. In addition, D\u00fczce is the only ancient city in the Western Black Sea Region.<\/p>\n
According to the population growth rate and statistical data, its estimated population is 396414. It is noteworthy that when the density of men and women is almost equal in the population. Its area is 3641 square kilometers and the plate code is 81.<\/p>\n
The history of D\u00fczce dates back to the Hittites, which ruled in the 1300 B.C. The city of D\u00fczce later came under the rule of civilizations such as Lydian, Phrygian, Roman, Persian, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman.\u00a0Its entry under the rule of the Ottoman Empire was the result of the struggles of Konuralp Bey, one of the commanders of Orhan Gazi, against the Byzantine Tekfurlar in 1323.\u00a0Until 1869, the city of D\u00fczce was a district of the Kastamonu Province Bolu Mutasarr\u0131fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 G\u00f6yn\u00fck Kabas\u0131, and in 1870 it became a township of the Bolu Sanjak.
\nUp until 1869, in the nature of Osman Gazi, D\u00fczce became a sub-district of Bolu Sanjak in 1870, while Kastamonu Province was a sub-district of Bolu.\u00a0\u00a0With the decision taken in the Turkish Grand National Assembly after the 1999 earthquakes, it became a province by giving provincial status.<\/p>\n

The museum, located in Konuralp Town built on an ancient city, was built to protect the ruins of this ancient city. The Konuralp Museum was opened to visitors in 2003.The first floor of the museum is divided into sculptures made of metal or soil in the region, the second floor is made up of weapons, ethnic clothes, traditional house and human figures. Inside the museum there are exhibition halls, conference halls, laboratories, warehouses and administrative departments. In the museum inventory, there are 6237 works in total, 1848 archaeological, 3898 coins and 491 ethnographic.<\/p>\n

There are many tourism areas in D\u00fczce however the most significant ones are; nat\u00fcre tourism, ancient and historical tourism and white water tourism.<\/p>\n
Road transportation is provided to D\u00fczce city. The distance between Istanbul and D\u00fczce is approximately 220 kilometers and it takes an estimated 3 hours by personal vehicle. The distance between Ankara and D\u00fczce is approximately 240 kilometers and it takes an estimated 2.5 hours with a personal vehicle. The distance between \u0130zmir and D\u00fczce is approximately 580 kilometers and takes an average of 7.5 hours with a personal vehicle.<\/p>\n
According to the protocol, the governor who is assigned by the president of the Republic comes first. Local people who live in the borders of municipality select the mayor. Some of these voters are also members of district municipality council and they can also vote for district municipality council. All of the voters in the province decide who will be in the province council by voting for it. Central administration consists of the governed and province managers.
