Artefacts dating back 5000 years were found in the Alisar mound. The territory of the province of Yozgat was one of the most populous settlement centers within the borders of the Hittites, who established the first political union in Anatolia and were considered the beginning of the historical period in Anatolia. The center of the Hittite Kingdom founded between 1500-2000, is within the borders of Yozgat province. Although the Sami Assyrians came all the way through Kızılırmak, they could not control this region. The kingdoms of fricia and Lydia have not been able to dominate this region continuously. Then, King Alexander of Macedonia defeated the Persian state and annexed Anatolia and Persia to his kingdom. Upon Alexander’s death, Anatolia was divided among the Imperial commanders and fell to the share of the Asian empire (Seleucid State). Soon this region passed to the Kingdom of Cappadocia and was administered from Kayseri. Then, like all Anatolia, the Roman Empire in the century added this region to its territory. When the Roman Empire was divided in two, Anatolia fell to the share of Eastern Rome (Byzantium). Timur Khan took over Yozgat in 1402-1403. When Timur Khan left Anatolia, Çelebi Sultan Mehmed Khan rejoined this region on the borders of the Ottoman Empire. From this date until the fall of the Ottoman Empire, Yozgat lived under Ottoman rule as a central Anatolian city. Çapanoğlu Ahmad Pasha, one of the Turkmen gentlemen, rebuilt Yozgat from the beginning. He served as governor for 51 years between 1762 and 1813. Çorum, Kayseri, Ankara, Amasya, Çankırı, Niğde, Tarsus were given to the administration of this family. The Sanjak, which was called “Bozok” during the Ottoman period and encompassed more or less the territory of today’s Yozgat, was one of the 8 sanjaks of the Beylerbeylik (province) of Sivas. After the Tanzimat, it became one of the five sanjaks of Ankara province (province). İt had three “Kaza”s. In the period of the Republic, it was named Yozgat.

Places to Travel

Behremşah Castle

Çapanoğlu Mosque

Çeska Castle

Karslıoğlu Mansion

Transportation

Inside Yozgat you can use bus minibus and taxi, you can also rent a car.

Management

Yozgat is managed by Celal Köse.

Yozgat Area of Yozgat Yozgat is surrounded by Sivas on the east; Kayseri, Nevsehir, Kırşehir on the south; Kırıkkale on the West; Amasya, Çorum and Tokat provinces on the north. It

[2383

post-13438","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ingilizce-tanitimi
["GET
