Soyut isimler ise , genel olarak be\u015f duyu organlar\u0131yla alg\u0131lanmayan isimlerdir. Soyut isimler g\u00f6r\u00fclemez, dokunulamaz ve i\u015fitilemez. Bu sebeple somuttan farkl\u0131d\u0131rlar. Mesela \u00fczg\u00fcn olmak soyut bir kavramd\u0131r. \u00dcz\u00fcnt\u00fcy\u00fc ve h\u00fczn\u00fc elle tutamazs\u0131n\u0131z veya bir ki\u015fiye satamazs\u0131n\u0131z.<\/p>\n<p>Genel olarak duygular\u0131m\u0131z soyuttur diyebiliriz. Bunun yan\u0131 s\u0131ra iyilik, k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fck ve ruh soyuttur. Bu soyut ve somut kavram\u0131 her dilde ayn\u0131d\u0131r. Yani sizin ana dilinizde soyut olan \u015fey \u0130ngilizcede de soyuttur. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc bu konu dilden ziyade alg\u0131lamaya bakar. Soyut isimler konusunda en \u00e7ok kafa kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131ran isimler r\u00fcya ve ak\u0131l isimleridir. R\u00fcyay\u0131 ger\u00e7ek gibi zanneder ve somut olarak s\u0131n\u0131fland\u0131rmak isteriz. Halbuki r\u00fcya soyuttur. R\u00fcyay\u0131 uyurken g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz ve tamamen beynimizin olu\u015fturdu\u011fu, hayal \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc bir \u015fey oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in soyuttur.<\/p>\n<p>Di\u011fer biri ise ak\u0131ld\u0131r. Ak\u0131l denilince akl\u0131m\u0131za beyin gelir. Halbuki ak\u0131l da soyuttur. Ak\u0131l d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme, kavrama, anlama yetisi olarak tan\u0131mlan\u0131r. Mesela bu yaz\u0131y\u0131 okurken beyninizi kullan\u0131yorsunuz fakat okudu\u011funuzu anlayan yorumlayan ve gerekliyse depolayan ak\u0131ld\u0131r. Bu nedenle ak\u0131l soyuttur, beyin somuttur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOYUT \u0130S\u0130M NED\u0130R?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u0130ngilizcede soyut <strong>abstract, <\/strong>somut ise <strong>concrete<\/strong>\u2019dir. T\u00fcm dillerde de oldu\u011fu gibi soyut ve somut kavram\u0131 k\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 \u00e7izgiyle ayr\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Soyut yani <strong>abstract <\/strong>\u201c <em>Abstract nouns cannot be felt by touching, smelling, hearing and seeing. They denote an idea, quality, or situation rather than a concrete object, e.g conscience and liberty.<\/em> Yani bu tan\u0131mda oldu\u011fu gibi <em>\u201cSoyut isimler dokunma, koku, duyma ve g\u00f6rme gibi duyu organlar\u0131yla hissedilemez. Aksine bir fikri, kaliteyi ve durumu i\u015faret ederler. Asl\u0131nda genel olarak t\u00fcm dillerde fazlad\u0131r. Fakat bir dil e\u011fer edebiyat alan\u0131nda \u00e7ok fazla geli\u015fmi\u015f ise soyut kelimeler daha fazlad\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc edebiyat\u00e7\u0131lar metafizi\u011fe daha fazla yo\u011funla\u015f\u0131rlar. Mesela T\u00fcrk\u00e7edeki g\u00f6n\u00fcl kelimesinin \u0130ngilizcede tam olarak kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 yoktur. Bunun sebebi T\u00fcrk milletinin di\u011fer dillerle olan ili\u015fkisi ve tarihidir. Mesela di\u011fer soyut isme \u00f6rnek ise nefis\u2019dir. Nefis kelimesi Arap\u00e7a olmakla beraber T\u00fcrk\u00e7ede de \u00e7ok fazla kullan\u0131lan bir kelimedir. Fakat bu kelimenin \u0130ngilizcede tam olarak kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 yoktur. \u00d6zetlemek gerekirse baz\u0131 diller hem tarihi hem de edebi a\u00e7\u0131dan daha fazla geli\u015fmi\u015ftir ve bu nedenle dildeki soyut kelimeler daha fazlad\u0131r.
