THE EASTERN ANATOLIA REGION<\/b>

\n<\/span>The Eastern Anatolia Region is located in the eastern part of Turkey. \u00a0Occupying the 21% of the total area of the country, the Eastern Anatolia Region is one of the largest regions with its 163.000 square kilometers of land. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>According to the census of 2018, the Eastern Anatolia Region has nearly 6 million inhabitants. Despite the fact that there are 14 cities in the region, the majority of the people live in the rural areas. On the other hand, it\u2019s important to note that the Eastern Anatolia Region is the most thinly populated region of the country. Besides that, the major economic activities of the people living in the region are livestock farming, beekeeping, and mining. It\u2019s a fact that the region has a remarkable contribution to the country\u2019s economy in producing meat products and dairy products. It\u2019s possible to comment that due to the land structure, which is rough, rocky and mountainous, agricultural activities are not among the best things to do around the Eastern Anatolia Region. Also, the fact that the region has continental climate is one of the many other factors that make it difficult to be involved in productive and effective farming activities in the region.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Apart from all these, tourism activities can be considered as one of the most important things related to the Eastern Anatolia Region. There are many favorable places to visit and these places attract millions of people every year. The region, as a whole, has many different characteristics and a perfect diversity. For example, while the magnificent mountains provide a lot of opportunities for mountaineering and winter sports, the astonishing landscapes and historical places such as the Mount Nemrut, along with many great forests and waterfalls, offer perfect natural treasures to their visitors.<\/span>

\n<\/span>The region has a lot of historical places as a result of being a part of Mesapotamia. The Mount Nemrut, the ruined city of Ani near the city of Kars, the Ishak Pasha Palace in Erzurum, the Silkroad, along with many Ottoman caravansaries, mosques, and Byzantine monasteries provide great opportunities for the visitors to see as well as making it possible to experience the perfect artistic forms of the buildings. As well as being a perfect place for historical buildings, the region has many natural wonders. For example, the Lake Van, which is the greatest lake of Turkey, is a stunning lake with its deep blue waters. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Do\u011fu Anadolu B\u00f6lgesi, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin do\u011fusunda bulunmaktad\u0131r. \u00dclke topraklar\u0131n\u0131n %21\u2019ini olu\u015fturan b\u00f6lge, 163.000 kilometre kare topraklar\u0131yla \u00fclkenin en b\u00fcy\u00fck b\u00f6lgelerinden biridir. <\/span>

\n<\/span>2018 n\u00fcfus say\u0131mlar\u0131na g\u00f6re, b\u00f6lgede yakla\u015f\u0131k olarak 6 milyon ki\u015fi ya\u015famaktad\u0131r. B\u00f6lgede 14 \u015fehir bulunmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n n\u00fcfusun b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00e7o\u011funlu\u011fu k\u0131rsal alanlarda ya\u015famaktad\u0131r. Di\u011fer taraftan \u015funu da belirtmek gerekir ki Do\u011fu Anadolu B\u00f6lgesi, \u00fclkenin en az n\u00fcfusuna sahip b\u00f6lgesidir. \u00a0Bunun yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, b\u00f6lgede ya\u015fayan insanlar\u0131n ba\u015fl\u0131ca ekonomik faaliyetleri hayvanc\u0131l\u0131k, ar\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k ve madenciliktir. B\u00f6lge, et ve s\u00fct \u00fcr\u00fcnleri \u00fcretimiyle \u00fclke ekonomisine \u00f6nemli derecede katk\u0131 sa\u011flar. Ayr\u0131ca, engebeli, da\u011fl\u0131k ve kayal\u0131k araziler sebebiyle tar\u0131m faaliyetleri b\u00f6lgede \u00e7ok tercih edilmez. Ayn\u0131 zamanda, b\u00f6lgedeki karasal iklim de etkili ve verimli tar\u0131m yapmay\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7le\u015ftiren pek \u00e7ok fakt\u00f6rden biridir.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Bunlar\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda, turizm faaliyetleri de b\u00f6lgeyle ilgili en \u00f6nemli \u015feylerden biri olarak d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclebilir. Do\u011fu Anadolu B\u00f6lgesi\u2019nde gezilecek pek yer bulunur ve buralar her y\u0131l milyonlarca insan\u0131 cezbeder. B\u00f6lge genel olarak \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 \u00f6zelliklere ve m\u00fckemmel bir \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fe sahiptir. \u00d6rne\u011fin, muhte\u015fem da\u011flar da\u011fc\u0131l\u0131k ve k\u0131\u015f sporlar\u0131 i\u00e7in pek \u00e7ok f\u0131rsat sunarken, b\u00fcy\u00fck ormanlar, \u015felaleler ve Nemrut Da\u011f\u0131 gibi muazzam manzaralar, tarihi yerler ziyaret\u00e7ilerine m\u00fckemmel do\u011fal zenginlik sunar. <\/span>

\n<\/span>Mezapotamya\u2019n\u0131n bir par\u00e7as\u0131 olmas\u0131 nedeniyle b\u00f6lgede pek \u00e7ok tarihi mekan bulunur. Nemrut Da\u011f\u0131, Kars \u00a0\u015fehri yak\u0131nlar\u0131ndaki terk edilmi\u015f Ani \u015fehri, Erzurum\u2019daki \u0130shak Pa\u015fa Saray\u0131, pek \u00e7ok Osmanl\u0131 kervansaraylar\u0131, camileri ve Bizans manast\u0131rlar\u0131 ile birlikte \u0130pek Yolu ziyaret\u00e7ilere pek \u00e7ok f\u0131rsat sunar ve bu tarihi yap\u0131lar\u0131n sanatsal formlar\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rmelerine olanak tan\u0131r.
