THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA<\/b>

\n<\/span>The United States of America (USA) is the fourth largest country in the world in area after Russia, Canada, and China. The country consists of 50 states and is located in the central southern part of North America which means it\u2019s nearly entirely in the western hemisphere. While Canada borders the United States of America in the north, Mexico is the country that borders the United States of America in the south. Additionally, the state of Alaska, which is the largest state of the country, is situated in the northwest of the continent and it has no borders with the main land just as Hawai. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>According to the latest census, there are 329 million inhabitants in the United States of America. On the other hand, the country has a rather diverse population which has come from a large global immigration. In the past, the territory was discovered by Columbus. When he arrived, he saw that the place was inhabited by Indians, the indigenous people. As Europeans flooded into the place, they continuously expanded towards the west.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>It\u2019s a fact that the country now has the world\u2019s greatest economy. This is partly down to the country\u2019s rich natural resources and agricultural output but it is more about a highly developed industry. On the other hand, the technological developments in farm productivity make it possible for the United States of America to produce greater quantities using a smaller labour force.\u00a0 In addition to these, the United States of America has become a world leader in terms of economy, military, and technology thanks to the advances in the past hundred years. <\/span>

\n<\/span>The country has 6 regions in total. These regions can be listed as the New England, the mid-Atlantic, the South, the Midwest, the Southwest, and the West. The states such as Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont belong to the New England while the likes of New York and the city of Washington, D.C. belong to the mid-Atlantic. The South includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The Midwest, on the other hand consists of the states of North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and so on.\u00a0 The likes of Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas are considered the Southwest and the states of the West include Alaska, Colorado, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.<\/span>
