Berlin is the capital and the largest city of Germany. It is also very crowded; population is discriminated in different nations or ethnic groups. Especially Turkish population is significant in Berlin; Turks live in Kreuzberg mostly. Total population is 3,4 millions. Most of the population is atheist in city (59 %). Its currency is Euro like the other European countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even if it sounds a little bit funny, the symbol of Berlin is a bear and city\u2019s official language is German.<\/span><\/p>\n

Germany has 16 federal states and Berlin is one of them. The city is the most known city of the European Union with London. It is famous with its culture, politics, art, media and science. Berlin is also one of the cities which has the higest HDI (Human Developement Index). That means a lot for a city. Education, tolerance among citizens, science, economy is qualified in Berlin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Berlin is also known as to be seperated as East Berlin and West Berlin with a famous wall; The Berlin Wall till 1990. That wall was used to divide the city to two and it is also known as The Shame Wall. Later on, it was broken down.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Spree River flows through the city. Berlin generally is a cold city; temperature is averagely 8.9 in a year.\u00a0 It is also one of the cleanest and the greenest city of the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What about places to see and dishes to eat? Culture is one of the most important issues for tourists who try to have an idea about a city. When it comes to Berlin\u2019s traditional foods; the most known ones are the Curryworst which is a cheap sausage dish, Sp\u00e4tzle which is a veggie dish, K\u00f6nigsberger Klopse which is a kind of meetball, Schnitzel which is the most international dish, Bratwurst which is a sausage dish and Maultaschen which is a kind of pasta.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are an art lover you will be definitely in love with Bode-Museum which is on the Museums Island. The Hackescher is another good place to see.
