Australia is an island country which is located in the southern hemisphere and between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. The country covers almost all the continent of Oceania. It has no land border with any other country, there is only ocean around it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Australia is also known as a natural heaven. It has many natural parks, gardens, forests.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because it is a big country, most of the tourists prefer going here by tours and have an efficient holiday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This huge country\u2019s capital city is Canberra despite everybody thinks that it is Sydney. Sydney is the biggest city of the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The other important cities in Australia are Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. There are six states in the country which are New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Austria.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Australia\u2019s neighbors are Indonesia, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Island, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and New Zealand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Official language of Australia is English. Additionally, 12% of the country speak other local languages. Except of the language of the Aborigines, you can also hear Italian, Arabic, Greek and Vietnamese in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of the huge area Australia, it is hard to talk about a steady season. In summer, south side of Australia is hot however north side of the country is rainy and cool. That is why you should decide when to go and where to go exactly. However, districts like Sydney is warm and ready to go in all seasons. Another thing; summer months are December, January and February in Australia because it is in southern hemisphere. Keep in mind this not to be surprised when you are planning your holiday or trip.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Australia has a powerful economy and its gross domestic product is at a high level. So, we can say that people who live in Australia have a good economic situation individually such as the country. Poverty rate is very low, and its economy is the 13<\/span>th<\/span> biggest economy of the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Australian people are generally open minded, communicative and respectful to the others. They tolerate the difference among the society. So many immigrants live here, and they have minimum problems with other citizens. Also, gender equality goes for every field of life which is a specific sign of developed countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Public transportation is very well designed, so you do not need your own car or a rented car. You can use this method (public transportation)\u00a0 if you will stay in the same area. However, if you are planning to see a big part of the country, of course you will need a car.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is easy to find a place to stay. Except of the hotels, daily or monthly rented apartments are also available in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Art is another important issue according to the Australians. Sydney Opera House is the biggest prove of it. You can find many concerts, art galleries or plays in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because this country has a beautiful nature, it is a kind of custom to eat outside and having barbecue is very prevalent. Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, there are so many kinds of crops and Australians do not have any troubles about that. So, Australia is a self-sufficient nation in terms of fruits or vegetables. The most famous foods are Dampers which is a kind of bread, frozen steak and saut\u00e9ed oyster.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many different festivals in this country. Three of them are film festivals which are Adelaide Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival and Tropfest Film Festival. Mardi Gras is a festival which has existed since 1979 and refers to the Pride Walk today.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
