Kemal Sunal was born on 11 November 1944 in Malatya. The eldest of three children, Sunal’s mother was a housewife and his father Mustafa Sunal was a worker at Migros. Kemal Sunal’s younger brothers are Cengiz and Cemil. Sunal spent his childhood in K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fckpazar. Kemal Sunal, who was known to be a shy child during his primary and secondary school years, changed this feature during his high school years.
\nKemal Sunal started his education in Mimar Sinan Elementary School and graduated from Vefa High School. Afterwards, Sunal started his university education in Marmara University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. His interest in theater during his youth caught the attention of Philosophy teacher Belk\u0131s Bak\u0131r. Although his father initially opposed Kemal Sunal’s desire to be a theater actor, he later supported him. Kemal Sunal’s teacher Belkis Bak\u0131r took him to the Kenter Theater and introduced him to M\u00fc\u015ffik Kenter.
\nSunal’s artistic career began with the play “Zoraki Tabip”. After working at Kenterler Theater for a year, he worked at Deveku\u015fu Cabaret Theater. In 1973, he made his film debut with Tatl\u0131 Dillim, directed by Ertem E\u011filmez. Kemal Sunal, who is still known as one of the biggest comedians of Turkish cinema, has achieved great success both financially and morally in his successive films. In 1976, he won the Golden Orange Best Actor Award at the Antalya Film Festival in 1977 for his success in the film Kap\u0131c\u0131lar King. He became famous by everyone with his Hababam Class series.
\nHe married in 1974 and had two children, Ali Sunal and Ezo Sunal. In 1977, Sunal won the Best Actor Award at the Antalya Film Festival. He graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema in 1995 and started his graduate studies. Hismaster thesis was published in 2005 by his family under the name of “Kemal Sunal G\u00fcld\u00fcr\u00fcs\u00fc in TV and Cinema”. A total of 82 films throughout his life, Kemal Sunal died on July 3, 2000, on a plane he went to Trabzon to begin shooting Balalaika.<\/p>\n

\nOkul hayat\u0131na Mimar Sinan \u0130lkokulunda ba\u015flayan Kemal Sunal, Vefa Lisesi\u2019nden mezun oldu. Daha sonra, Marmara \u00dcniversitesi \u0130leti\u015fim Fak\u00fcltesi Radyo Televizyon ve Sinema B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc\u2019nde \u00fcniversite \u00f6\u011frenimine ba\u015flayan Sunal, 12 Eyl\u00fcl d\u00f6neminde \u00f6\u011frenimini yar\u0131m b\u0131rakmak zorunda kald\u0131. Babas\u0131, ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7ta Kemal Sunal\u2019\u0131n tiyatrocu olma iste\u011fine kar\u015f\u0131 \u00e7\u0131ksa da sonradan kendisine destek oldu.
