It does not matter which part of the world you live in, watching a good movie is always a good idea. A movie is like a door opening to new worlds and all you need to do is to just sit there and watch.

Depending on circumstances, it can either be a solitary or social activity. You can go to the cinema to see a movie with your friends, or you can rent a DVD and watch in at home by yourself. Either way, it is a very popular form of entertainment in our world today. But why is it so popular?

Stress of Big City Life

I’m sure you are already aware of this, but living in a big city can be very stressful. You spend nearly all of your time on a meaningless full-time job. You have very limited time to spend on what you really love, because on weekdays you are stuck in traffic. On weekends, you are too tired to do anything, both physically and mentally. Your mind needs a way out. You need to be away of this stressful life and a movie solves this problem easily.

Financial Problems

Now there are other ways of leaving stressful city life behind and getting your mind off of things. You can travel around the world or go to somewhere close for a weekend vacation. But that’s a lot of money. Transportation plus a hotel will already cost you a lot. It is best to stay where you are, if you ask me.

Life is Unfair

Well, it may have escaped your notice, but life isn’t fair. We are living a zombie life in a stressful big city, but for what exactly? Why do we waste your lives like this? Sometimes all we want is to escape reality and be someone else in some other place. That is called escapism and a movie can do that.
